dopl User Moderation Policy

This User Moderation Policy governs acceptable behavior on the dopl platform. Violations may lead to warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent deactivation per our “three‑strikes” and “no‑warning” severe‑offense rules.

Banned Behaviours


Harassment & Abuse

Strike

  • Threats, hate speech, or targeted insults based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.

  • Stalking, bullying, or repeated unwanted contact.


Sexual Misconduct

Strike | Deactivation

  • Non‑consensual sexual advances, requests, or explicit content.

  • Sharing or requesting intimate images without explicit consent.


Illegal Activity

Deactivation

  • Solicitation of criminal acts, trafficking, or extremist recruitment.

  • Fraud, identity theft, or financial scams.


Impersonation &
Deception

Deactivation

  • Pretending to be another person or entity.

  • Use of bots or fake profiles to mislead users.


Privacy Violations

Strike | Deactivation

  • Sharing private information (e.g., home address, phone number) of others without consent.


Spam & Commercial
Solicitation

Deactivation

  • Unsolicited advertising, pyramid schemes, or mass messaging for profit.


Self‑Harm & Harm
to Others

Deactivation

  • Encouraging self‑harm or suicide.

  • Threats or incitement of violence.


Trafficking

Deactivation | Police Report

  • Any facilitation or advertisement of human trafficking, sexual trafficking, or labor trafficking.

State Acting

Deactivation | Legal Action

  • Using the platform on behalf of a government or state entity to surveil, manipulate, or influence users without full disclosure and consent.

Three‑Strikes Policy

Strike 1 (Warning)

Official warning and education on policy.

Strike 2 (Temporary Suspension)

7‑day suspension; user must acknowledge policy before reinstatement.

Strike 3 (30‑Day Suspension or Deactivation)

At dopl’s discretion, either a 30‑day suspension or permanent deactivation, based on severity and recidivism.

Strikes expire 12 months after issuance if no further violations occur.

Appeals

  • Users may appeal sanctions within 14 days via help@dopl.au with “Appeal: [username]” in the subject line.

  • Appeals are reviewed by a separate moderation committee within 7 business days.

  • Committee decisions are final.

Allegation Submission & Review Process

Submission

  • Any user may report a profile or message by tapping “Report” and selecting a violation category.

  • Reports should include relevant context (screenshots, timestamps, user IDs).

Initial Triage

  • Our moderation team reviews incoming reports within 24 hours.

  • Urgent cases (threats, self‑harm, sexual exploitation) receive immediate priority.

Investigation

  • Moderators collect evidence: chat logs, profile data, and user history.

  • The accused user is notified of the allegation (unless doing so would jeopardize safety or investigation).

Decision & Notification

  • Decisions rendered within 72 hours of report receipt.

  • Both reporter and reported user receive notification of outcome and any sanctions.

No‑Warning Deactivation for Severe Offenses

Sexual exploitation or sharing non‑consensual intimate images

Credible threats of violence or terrorism

Child sexual abuse or solicitation of minors

Hate crimes or extremist recruitment

Large‑scale fraud or financial scams

Trafficking (human, sexual, or labor)

State Acting to surveil, manipulate, or influence users covertly

Policy Updates

We review and update this policy annually or as needed. Users will be notified of material changes via email or in‑app notice.


By using dopl, you agree to abide by this User Moderation Policy. Failure to comply may result in sanctions up to and including permanent deactivation.
